Our P&C

The P&C plays a very active role in assisting our school to provide the best possible learning environment for our children. Please get involved and join us in supporting our school, and supporting our activities. To provide and fund our services, the P&C actively undertakes fundraising activities throughout the year. Fundraising activities provide the necessary funds to maintain our services. They also provide a great social benefit - a wonderful opportunity for our families and the community to get involved, and to get to know each other better.

Our Services

Our P&C provides many services for our school. We run a successful OSHC, Tuckshop, Uniform Shop and many working groups. We undertake fundraising & events, and have a grants & infrastructure team. We also run annual Mothers and Fathers Day Stalls, Tuckshop Meal Deals & Treat Times once a term, and music and social events. We provide financial support for the Chaplaincy, Environment Club, and BookClub. All funds raised from these services support and make PRSS a great school.

Our Community

Our school and our P&C are very fortunate to have caring and involved parents that volunteer their time to help out in all areas. We are always looking for volunteers to donate time, gifts, money, cooking, food or items; to help at fundraising events; or assist with any of our sub committee activities. Without the generous and dedicated support of our school community, the P&C would not be able to provide all the financial support it does to our school. We welcome anyone from our school community to join us at our P&C meetings. P&C meetings are held every 3rd Thursday Night, 7pm in OSHC.

Our School

Payne Road State School is tucked away in a green and shady environment bordered by Enoggera Creek. PRSS opened in 1970 with the original name of The Gap South State School, changing to Payne Road State School in its first few years. Our school motto is “Aim Ever Higher”. We are a small school - large enough to be able to offer our students the same full range of extra-curricular programs and resources as a large school, and small enough for children to be able to follow their individual interests and to maximize their participation in the life and activities of the school. We are a small school, with big results.
